Presentation
Known stable cystic mass lesion in the left kidney, which is followed up with a "watchful waiting" approach at regular intervals due to lack of progression and already impaired renal function.

Cystic renal angiomyolipoma (CEUS)

- On B-mode US a heterogenously hyperechogenic, ill-defined, partially cystic left renal mass can be discerned.
- The solid parts show avid enhancement post contrast (SonoVue), and show a somewhat increased enhancement compared to the normal renal cortex in the late phase.
- The lesion is stable compared to the one year earlier CEUS exam (not shown).
Case Discussion
Findings altogether favor a cystic angiomyolipoma, which is a somewhat unusal presentation of an otherwise common renal lesion. The mass has been known for almost 15 years and has shown less than one centimeter growth since the initial exam.
