History of fell from a ladder, landing in an outstretched arm, hand outward, clinical examination: swelling around the wrist, and pain above the wrist.

Age: 20 years
Gender: Male

A scaphoid fracture is seen. 

A scaphoid fat pad sign is seen.

Soft tissue swelling is noted.

Case Discussion

Sometimes, scaphoid fractures do not appear on the X-ray in the acute phase due to edema but become clear after that.
