Tracheo-esophageal fistula - distal fistula

There is a coiled NG tube in the upper esophagus. Gas in stomach and proximal small bowel. Lungs are well expanded and clear. Appearances are suggestive of a TOF-OA with distal fistula (the commonest type)

The NG tube has been removed and a Replogle tube has been inserted.
Case Discussion
Appearances of congenital tracheo-esophageal fistula. Esophageal atresia with distal tracheo-esophageal fistula is the commonest type making up 85% of all TOF-OA.
