Presentation

Primary infertility. No history of surgery.

Patient Data

Age: 40 years
Gender: Female

Cutoff of contrast material in the isthmic portion of both fallopian tubes with bulbous dilatation of distal aspect of the opacified portion.

Intravasation of contrast medium in the uterine wall and pelvis is seen.

The uterine cavity is normal with a smooth concavity in the uterine fundus (arcuate uterus).

Case Discussion

This patient had several episodes of pelvic inflammatory disease, which is the most probable cause of tubal adhesions leading to tubal blockage and infertility.
