Facial nerve hemangioma

Case contributed by Hani Makky Al Salam
Diagnosis probable
mri

At the left facial nerve geniculate ganglion a high T2, intermediate T1 signal mass with vivid enhancement is present.

ct

CT bone windows demonstrate slightly irregular bony erosions surrounding the MRI enhancing mass, centered at the geniculate ganglion of the facial nerve.

Case Discussion

The location, signal intensity and bony changes are fairly convincing for a facial nerve hemangioma; unfortunately pathological proof or follow-up are not available.
