What is the major complication of orbital roof fractures?
Frontal lobe hemorrhagic contusion.
Displaced fracture in the right orbit roof extended within the ethmoid roof and upper medial wall of the orbit and also in the lateral wall of the orbit is seen. Large cerebral haemorrhagic contusion in right side frontal lobe adjacent to right orbit roof with marginal white matter oedema and mass effect on related parenchyma is seen. Eyes have no native lens and small calcified foci in medial and lateral rectus muscles insertion to eye globes are seen. Bilateral proptosis and partial empty sella are also evident.
