Presentation
Facial trauma and right orbital pain, eye upward gaze and limitation of motion
Patient Data
Right orbital floor minimally displaced blow-out fracture with partially herniated inferior rectus muscle fascia and inferior oblique muscle tendon within the defect.
Partially penetrated displaced bone within the inferior rectus muscle is also noted. Minimally thickened mucosa adjacent to the fracture site in the right maxillary sinus roof and minimally displaced fracture in the posterior wall of the maxillary sinus is seen.
Case Discussion
The case illustrates a minimally displaced orbital floor blow-out fracture with a partially herniated inferior rectus muscle fascia and inferior oblique muscle tendon within the fracture gap, which is relatively uncommon.
