Presentation

History of pain in the right foot since yesterday after a twisted ankle while walking. On examination: very mild swelling with tenderness over the base of the dorsal side of the right foot with no hotness and no limitation of movements.

Age: 40 years
Gender: Male

X-ray shows an extra-articular non-displaced fracture at the base of the right 5th metatarsal bone.

This fracture is far away about 23.6mm from the tip of the 5th metatarsal styloid process compatible with the Jones fracture.
