Presentation
An amateur climber who felt an abrupt snap in his right 4th finger during fingertip hang move while climbing. Since then suffers mild to moderate discomfort and pain with some restriction in flexion.
Patient Data
Oedema around the flexor tendon with increased distance between the cortex of the middle phalanx and the tendon at the level of the A4 pulley.
Increased free space in normal localisation of the A4 pulley filled with a little fluid and the oedema in the area of the C3 pulley.
Case Discussion
Direct and indirect signs of total A4 flexor pulley injury of 4th right finger in a patient with a typical mechanism of injury and demographic, which allows this diagnosis to be certain.
In addition, there is a suspected C3 pulley injury with only mild indirect signs.
