Lobulated, heterogeneously enhancing supraumbilical anterior abdominal wall mass centered in the subcutaneous fat but also contacting the anterior rectus abdominis muscles and linea alba. No intraabdominal findings.
Case Discussion
This mass was biopsied with ultrasound which confirmed desmoid tumor (benign), and was later successfully resected. The anterior abdominal wall and rectus muscles are important locations to be aware of when dealing with a desmoid tumor in women of childbearing age, which can occur here in relation to pregnancy-related stretching and hormonal changes.
