Portal vein drains directly into the IVC.
Case Discussion
A case of type II Abernethy malformation. The splenic vein and superior mesenteric vein form a common trunk before draining into the IVC.
The above patient has been followed up for complications such as chronic parenchymal liver disease and its manifestations.
