Aberrant renal artery

Presentation

Recently detected hypertension. Referred for renal artery stenosis study.

Patient Data

Age: 40 years
Gender: Male
ultrasound

Two arteries are noted supplying the left kidney.

The larger caliber and cranially-located artery enters the left renal hilum.

The smaller caliber and caudally-located artery does not enter left renal hilum. It enters the lower pole parenchyma.
