Cough and dyspnea in a heavy smoker.

Patient Data

Age: 65 years
Gender: Female

An incidental finding of a right aberrant subclavian artery. It arises from the aortic arch distal to the left subclavian artery and courses posterior to the esophagus. 

Case Discussion

Right aberrant subclavian artery is the most common variant of the subclavian vessels. It may cause compressive symptoms related to oesphagus or trachea in its course.
