- Type II accessory navicular bone with mild adjacent soft tissue edema
Case Discussion
An accessory navicular bone, also referred to as os naviculare accessorium, is a relatively common anatomical variant present in around 10% of people. Although usually asymptomatic, an accessory navicular bone can cause medial foot pain called os naviculare syndrome.
