- type II accessory navicular bones bilaterally with mild adjacent soft tissue edema.
- no acute fracture or dislocation.
Case Discussion
Accessory navicular bones, also referred to as os naviculare accessorium, is a relatively common anatomical variant present in around 10% of people. Although usually asymptomatic, an accessory navicular bone can cause medial foot pain called os naviculare syndrome as in this case.
