Presented for pain in left lumbar region and fever since 2 months.

Accessory right inferior hepatic vein is seen draining the posterior part of the right lobe into the IVC.

Case Discussion

Accessory right inferior hepatic vein is the most common variation in the hepatic venous system and it drains the posterior part of the right lobe (mainly segments 6 and 7) into the IVC.
