Presentation

Left hip pain following a fall with direct trauma to the left side.

Patient Data

Age: 15 years
Gender: Male
x-ray

There is a complete non displaced fracture, horizontally traversing the left acetabulum, involving its anterior and posterior columns and separating the iliac from the ischiopubic bones.

Case Discussion

This is a transverse type of acetabular fracture according to the Judet and Letournel classification system.
