Right anterosuperior acetabular labrum tear, with the appearance of acetabular over coverage on both sides. Partial-thickness loss of the anterosuperior acetabular articular cartilage bilaterally.
Case Discussion
Tears of anterosuperior acetabular labrum are common, and MRI is used in combination with radiographs to assess the hip joint for features of FAI (femoral acetabular impingement).
MRI should focus on the soft tissues and mention should be made of any labral tearing, any chondral loss, and are tendon issues.
