Dilatation of the oesophagus with smooth distal narrowing and tapering (bird beak appearance), characteristic of achalasia.
Normal mucosal pattern of the oesophagus with no irregularities or ulceration.
No evidence of hiatus hernia.

Barium swallow demonstrates dilatation of the oesophagus with distal narrowing and tapering producing a bird beak appearance characteristic of oesophageal achalasia.
