Achilles tendinosis

Presentation

Painful swelling. Past history of trauma to the left ankle a few years ago.

Age: 35 years
Gender: Male

The MRI sequences demonstrate a fusiform enlargement of the mid-portion of the Achilles tendon with intratendinous areas of a heterogeneous signal on PD fat sat sequences. No other tendinous lesion is seen.
