X-ray showing prominence of the posterior aspect of the calcaneus at the site of the achilles tendon insertion and also inflammatory changes in the fat anterior to the Achilles tendon.

Case Discussion

Achilles tendon may be affected in a size between 3 and 6 cm from its attachment to the heel which is called achilles tendinitis or achilles tendinosis, or it may be affected right where it attaches to the calcaneous and known as achilles enthesopathy.
