Acute twisting injury.
Patient Data
Acute complete tear of the ACL with tibial spine avulsion. PCL intact. Tear of the deep meniscofemoral component of the MCL which otherwise intact. Complete tear of the proximal attachment of the LCL. Complete detachment of the popliteus tendon from its popliteal groove insertion. Mildly depressed osteochondral impaction injury at the lateral femoral sulcus. Vertical longitudinal tear of the posterior horn of the lateral meniscus continuous with the Wrisberg ligament (Wrisberg rip). Truncated medial meniscus posterior horn and body due to bucket handle tear with displaced meniscus into the intercondylar region creating a double PCL sign.
Case Discussion
Multiple traumatic internal derangements including ACL, LCL and popliteus tendon tears, medial meniscus bucket handle tear and lateral meniscus Wrisberg rip vertical longitudinal tear.
