Case contributed by Dr Ammar Haouimi

Left-sided hearing loss.

Patient Data

Age: 50 years
Gender: Female

Well-defined left cerebellopontine angle mass measuring 20 x 10 x 8 mm with intracanalicular extension, enlarging moderately the IAC. It elicits a low signal on T1, iso-to slightly high signal on T2 and FLAIR with heterogeneous enhancement on post-contrast sequences. No mass effect on the brainstem or middle cerebellar peduncle.

Case Discussion

MRI features of a left CPA mass with intracanalicular extension most consistent with an acoustic neuroma.
