Small well-defined mass at the left cerebellopontine angle enlarging the left porus acousticus, displaying an isointense signal to the cortical grey matter on T1, T2 and FLAIR with no calcification or hemorrhagic component on T2* sequence. The postcontrast sequences show moderate heterogeneous enhancement. No mass effect is noted on the ipsilateral middle cerebellar peduncle, brainstem or cerebellar hemisphere. Normal size and configuration of the ventricular system.
Case Discussion
The MRI features are most consistent with acoustic neuroma.
