Presentation

Vertigo with right hearing loss.

Patient Data

Age: 35 years
Gender: Male

Well-defined extra-axial mass at the right cerebellopontine angle enlarging the porus acusticus with a mass effect is noted on the right middle cerebellar peduncle, brainstem as well as the cisternal portion of the trigeminal nerve. It elicits a low signal on T1, heterogeneous high signal on T2 and FLAIR with vivid heterogeneous enhancement on postcontrast sequences.

Case Discussion

MRI features most consistent with acoustic neuroma of right CPA compressing the brainstem, middle cerebellar peduncle, and cisternal portion of the trigeminal nerve.
