Presentation

Right hearing loss with vertigo.

Patient Data

Age: 50 years
Gender: Male
mri

Well-circumscribed right cerebellopontine angle mass with intracanalicular extension enlarging the porus acusticus. It displays a low signal on T1, and high signal on T2 and FLAIR with no restricted diffusion. The postcontrast sequences show a heterogeneous enhancement of the solid component. A mass effect is noted on the brainstem and middle cerebral peduncle.

Case Discussion

MRI features most consistent with acoustic neuroma of the right CPA with central cystic components.
