Acoustic schwannoma

Presentation

Right-sided hearing loss.

Patient Data

Age: 40 years
Gender: Male
MRI

There is an extra-axial abnormal signal (heterogeneous hypointense T1 and hyperintense T2 signals) mass lesion in the right CP angle measuring about 30*40*45 mm with extension into the internal auditory canal and heterogenous avid enhancement after contrast injection

The lesion is compressing and displacing the adjacent right cerebellar hemisphere, pons, medulla, and fourth ventricle with CSF cleft sign.

No perilesional edema is seen.

Case Discussion

With regarding the clinical and imaging findings, acoustic schwannoma is the main diagnosis.
