Patient Data

A small well defined mass is seen arising from the intracanalicular portion of the left vestibulocochlear nerve (CN VIII). The lesion displays isointense signal on T2 with avid enhancement after contrast administration. There is also cavum septum pellucidum and cavum vergae.

Case Discussion

Diagnosis of vestibular schwannoma was made upon the radiological findings, clinical manifestations and absence of facial nerve palsy symptoms. Microsugery was planned to remove this small intracanalicular lesion.
