Sagittal C+ delayed

- 2 cm enhancing lesion in the pituitary fossa, expanding it
- thickened skull
- neanderthal like supraorbital ridge = frontal bossing
- the thickened skull and frontal bossing suggest growth hormone secretion (i.e. acromegaly)
From the case:
Acromegaly
Coronal T1 C+

Pituitary gland is stretched around a lesion of lower signal. The pituitary gland enhances more avidly than the adenoma in this phase of imaging.
Case Discussion
The patient went on to have surgery which confirmed a growth hormone secreting macroadenoma accounting for their acromegaly.
