Presentation
Direct trauma to the top of the right shoulder.
Patient Data

Evidence of fracture associated with bone marrow oedematous changes at the acromion base associated with fluid signal and soft tissue oedematous changes around the fracture site.
Subchondral cystic changes at greater tuberosity, the insertion site of supraspinatus and infraspinatus tendons.
Thickening of coracoacromial ligament causing to supraspinatus tendon impingement.
Subacromial / subdeltoid bursae detention.
Degenerative changes along with the AC joint.
Acromion type II.
Case Discussion
Isolated acromial fracture without associated shoulder injuries rarely occurs and often associated with rotator cuff injury and impairment of shoulder function.
