Acromioclavicular joint injury (Rockwood I)

Sustained a fall during training. Tenderness over the right acromioclavicular joint.

Patient Data

Age: 20 years
Gender: Female

There is a discrete widening (7 mm) of the right acromioclavicular joint, that remains unchanged upon weight bearing. No bony displacement.

Measurements done on the weight bearing radiographs demonstrating the moderate acromioclavicular joint space widening on the right. 

Case Discussion

Findings are in line with Rockwood type I acromioclavicular joint injury.
