Trauma to right shoulder

Patient Data

Age: 40 years
Gender: Female

Right shoulder

mri

Complete disruption of the acromioclavicular and coracoclavicular ligaments and associated acromioclavicular joint effusion with joint capsule rupture. Upward migration of the lateral clavicle with contact loss of the acromioclavicular joint surface. Muscle fiber tear of the trapezius and deltoid muscles.

According to Rockwood classification, this injury is considered type III acromioclavicular joint injury.
