Direct shoulder trauma.

Disruption of the superior and inferior acromioclavicular (AC) ligaments, coracoclavicular ligament, and the ruptured joint capsule is seen associated with joint separation and superior displacement of the clavicle relative to the acromion
The distal clavicle is displaced superiorly compared to the acromion
Overlying soft tissue oedema/swelling
Subacromial subdeltoid bursa
Acromion type II
No fracture
Normal glenohumeral joint.
Case Discussion
The patient referred to us with a history of shoulder pain and immobility after direct shoulder trauma. Regarding the imaging findings, this is a type III acromioclavicular joint injury according to Rockwood classification.
