Presentation

Heaviness and anesthesia of both lower limbs, slurred speech, squint and loss of concentration of 1 month duration. No known medical history.

Patient Data

Age: 40 years
Gender: Female

Extensive bilateral cerebral supra- and infra-tentorial deep white matter demyelinating foci, with predominantly peri-ventricular location, are seen, they demonstrate low T1 and high T2 / FLAIR signal.

Some of these foci show restricted diffusion with marginal enhancement showing typically incomplete ring. Similar demyelinating foci are seen within the cerebellar hemispheres, pons and middle cerebellar peduncles.
