Acute appendicitis

Abdominal pain, anorexia and vomiting, clinical suspicion of appendicitis.

Patient Data

Age: 3 years
Gender: Female
Modality: X-ray

Unremarkable x-ray, no signs of obstruction or pneumoperitoneum.

Modality: Ultrasound

The appendix measures > 6m in diameter and showing increased vascularity on color Doppler, suggestive of acute appendicitis.
