Acute appendicitis

Abdominal pain, vomiting, and constipation.

Patient Data

Age: 50 years
Gender: Male


Enlarged appendiceal lumen with surrounding fat stranding.

Few prominent subcentimetric lymph nodes in the vicinity of the inflamed appendix.

No ascites or pneumoperitoneum.

NG tube inserted.

Bibasal atelectasis.

Case Discussion

The features are of acute appendicitis.
