A series of images in the right iliac fossa demonstrates an aperistaltic, non-compressible, dilated appendix (0.9 cm) with wall thickening and mural hyperemia. There is also a hyperechoic appendicolith with a posterior acoustic shadow in the appendix base.
Case Discussion
A well-illustrated case of uncomplicated acute appendicitis.
