Sudden onset retro-orbital and temporal headache, neck stiffness and photophobia right side nystagmus. To rule out bleed in the brain.

Hyperdensities of superior sagittal, right transverse sinuses and bilateral cortical veins on plain study with corresponding filling defects on CT venogram suggestive of acute cerebral venous sinus thrombosis. No parenchymal haemorrhage. There is mild diffuse cerebral oedema.

Case Discussion

Treatment of choice is anti coagulation, even if it is haemorrhagic.
