Acute haemorrhagic stroke

Sudden change in alertness.

Patient Data

Age: 77
Gender: Male

Non contrast. Spiral acquisition

CT scan shows massive left hemispheric hematoma with blood-fluid level. This has caused significant mass effect with subfalcine herniation causing left to right midline shift (19mm).

Left phthisis bulbi (incidental finding)

Case Discussion

Patient died 12 hours after CT scan.
