Presentation

Acute hip pain.

Patient Data

Age: 25 years
Gender: Female
Modality: MRI

Moderate joint effusion. Altered signal intensity in the right femoral head and neck.There was synovial thickening. Normal articular surfaces.

Case Discussion

Septic arthritis is a severe condition that may affect any joint and demands prompt management to avoid chronic sequelae. S.aureus is the most common bacteria involved in this condition.
