Acute maxillary sinusitis

Presentation

Recurrent cough and headache.

Patient Data

Age: 40 years
Gender: Female
X-ray

Paranasal sinuses

Partial opacification of the maxillary sinuses with air-fluid levels are seen bilaterally.

The other paranasal sinuses are unremarkable.

Nasal septum appears normal.

X-ray

Chest

Unremarkable chest radiograph study.

Case Discussion

Imaging features suggest acute maxillary sinusitis.
