Decreased level of consciousness and blurring of vision.

Age: 30 years
Gender: Male

Bilateral fairly symmetrical hypodensities involve the basal ganglia and subcortical white matter of both frontal and occipital lobes.

Hemorrhagic areas are seen in both putamina as well as left-sided occipital lobe.

Case Discussion

A young male with a clinical history of recent oral ingestion of a large amount of methanol with typical imaging appearances in keeping with acute methanol toxicity.
