Acute right MCA territory infarct

Right sided weakness commencing 2 days prior. Hemiplegic.

Patient Data

Age: 59
Gender: Male

Extensive low attenuation in the distribution of the right middle cerebral artery.

No hemorrhagic transformation.

No midline shift.

Case Discussion

Classic appearances of a recent complete MCA territory infarct.

The delay of more than 24 hours from symptoms to performing the CT makes the infarct very apparent.
