Adamantinomatous craniopharyngioma

Blurred vision.

Patient Data

Age: 20 years
Gender: Male

There is a suprasellar cystic mass with peripheral calcification. Normal size and configuration of the ventricular system.

The cystic component appears well-defined of high signal intensity on T1WI, T2WI, and FLAIR with a thin peripheral rim of enhancement. No solid component is seen. A mass effect is noted on the optic chiasma which is displaced mainly to the right. The floor of the 3rd ventricle is slightly elevated with no ventricular dilatation.

Case Discussion

CT and MRI the features strongly suggestive of adamantinomatous craniopharyngioma.
