It shows a posterior extension to the pterygomaxillary fissure as well as a superior extension to the inferomedial extraconal space with partial destruction of the orbital floor.
MRI features of a right maxillary tumor extending to the pterygomaxillary fissure and orbital extraconal space. The patient went to have an endoscopic exam with biopsy and histopathological exam (confirmed as an adenoid cystic carcinoma).
