Presentation

Difficulty nasal breathing, snoring, and sleep-disordered breathing. Clinical examination: bilateral inferior turbinate hypertrophy throat-normal.

Age: 5 years
Gender: Female
x-ray

Posterior nasopharyngeal soft tissue thickening about 22 mm, narrows the nasopharyngeal air column.

Case Discussion

Adenoidal hypertrophy or enlargement in children is common, and due to an increase in the size of the adenoids may cause nasopharyngeal airway narrowing.
