Small well-defined ovoid homogeneous mass (measuring 28 x 25 x 23 mm) of the right adrenal gland with a mean attenuation = - 11 HU, in keeping with an adrenal adenoma (incidental finding).

  • liver = 24 HU
  • spleen = 44 HU

Case Discussion

CT features of a right adrenal adenoma in a patient with diffuse hepatic steatosis.

On non-contrast CT, a small round, or ovoid homogeneous adrenal lesion with an attenuation <0 HU is considered 100% specific for adrenal adenoma.
