ct

CT demonstrates a small right-sided adrenal mass between the IVC, kidney, liver, and vertebral column.

It is a well-circumscribed low-density mass on pre-contrast imaging (6.7 HU).

Following administration of contrast, it enhances to a maximum of 34 HU during the portal venous phase and then washes out to 15.9 HU on delayed imaging.

A few hypodense mass lesions are seen along with the right kidney due to cortical cysts.

Fat equivalent density tiny mass lesion measuring about 8 mm along with right liver lobe segment VIII.

Another two small fat containing lesions measuring about 3mm and 7mm along with right kidney middle and lower poles respectively.

The calculated absolute percentage washout was 66% inferring an adrenal adenoma (>60% washout is highly suggestive of adrenal adenoma).

Case Discussion

Features are characteristic of an adrenal adenoma on multiphasic CT imaging.
