Adrenal calcification

Vague abdominal pain.

Patient Data

Age: 25 years
Gender: Male

Scout image of the abdomen and pelvis, showing area of calcification in the right upper quadrant.


There is a right adrenal cystic lesion with a heavily-calcified thick wall. Findings are most likely related to previous hemorrhage and/or infection (TB).

Case Discussion

This finding was incidental, the patient presented with vague abdominal pain, he had no history of remarkable trauma.
