Age: 70 years
Gender: Male

Left adrenal lesion with macroscopic fat, characteristic of myelolipoma. 

Case Discussion

Adrenal myelolipomas are rare benign tumors composed of adrenal tissue, fat and hematopoietic (blood) components. The macroscopic fat seen on CT is pathognomonic of the lesion. Most are asymptomatic and found incidentally when the patient is investigated for other reasons.
